Your Old Used glasses
With the Lions Club being the charity that we most closely worked with for over 30 years, The Lions Club recently awarded ACV with a Certificate that calculated we have donated over 3,000 pairs of glasses over the years. We have decided to make an bigger effort in collecting used Glasses and to split the glasses we collect to an additional charity to do good with our badly needed used glasses. We have included a bit about both Charities Below.

In just about any home, one can find a pair of eyeglasses that are no longer being used. That same pair of eyeglasses can change another person’s life.
Lions Recycle for Sight
That’s why we started the Lions Recycle for Sight program. Everyone can help.
Throughout the year, Lions, Leos and other volunteers collect used eyeglasses and deliver them to regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers (LERCs). LERC volunteers clean, sort by prescription strength and package the glasses. Recycled glasses are distributed to people in need in low and middle income communities where they will have the greatest impact.

Drop Your Eyeglasses in Lions Collection Boxes
You can drop off your usable eyewear at Lions-sponsored collection boxes in your community. For information specific to locations in your community, contact your local Lions club.
KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL S.O.S Program
Eyeglasses Roundup Do you have eyeglasses you no longer use?
Kiwanis Clubs collect them, the Eyecare Wecare refurbishes them, and then they are distributed to needy people in Third World countries. Please bring your eyeglasses to the information center at the church. They will be put to good use and greatly appreciated.
Gift of Sight
Used eyeglasses are needed for distributing to Third World countries. Place your donated unbroken glasses with case, if possible, in the Kiwanis S.O.S. collection carton in the lobby.

Please bring your used, no longer needed eyeglasses to the reception desk. We are collecting them for distribution by Eyecare Wecare to the needy people of Third World countries.

Glasses – Bring ‘Em!
If you wear eyeglasses or contact lenses, you can understand how valuable they are to the many people who also wear them. Imagine now, that you are unable to purchase them because of a lack of money. Would you be able to function in your current occupation or in your daily routine without the aid they bring you? Your old eyeglasses, or those you can collect from people you know, will help many people who are in great need of them. Please bring used glasses to the meeting and help people see.

You Can Brighten Someone’s Life on the Other Side of the World
The pair of eyeglasses we take for granted in this country is a very precious item in many parts of the world. Eyecare Wecare is an organization which gives used eyeglasses to needy hospitals and health centers worldwide. Every pair is “recycled” for use by someone who urgently needs them but who otherwise must go without. Thousands have already been collected but more are still needed! Bring your used eyeglasses to the collection box in the lobby and brighten someone’s life.
